General Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions pertain to all the services offered by Green Kerala leisure & Ayurveda (GKLA) – including holiday packages, hotel bookings or any other services, in principle.

 Key Inclusions in leisure packages.

  • Accommodation is considered in twin sharing basis at all the destinations

  • Accommodation as mentioned with complimentary breakfast

  • Welcome drink

  • INNOVA with English/ Hindi speaking chauffer/guide

  • All transfers and sightseeing are part of the itinerary, which are indicated in the itinerary

  • The default pick-up will be Cochin railway station/airport and drop in cochin / Trivandrum railway station/airport

  • All the charges including toll charges, parking fees, driver bata, fuel expenses for the transportation and the driver is included in the package prices

  • All the taxes are included in the package price

  • Sightseeing entry fees, Fruit basket, mineral water, elephant ride, traditional snacks and dinner (only for platinum package).

  • 1 – 3 Hours exclusive boating at marine drive (Cochin) exclusively for gold and platinum packages.

  • A/C vehicle, A/C rooms, A/C house boat etc only for gold and platinum packages.

 

Notes on Houseboats – Kerala

  • Houseboats in Kerala are moving vessels, in backwaters

  • The check-in time will be 12:00 HRS and check-out time will be 09:00 HRS – with a total of 21 HRS of stay

  • The cruise of houseboat will be between 12:00 HRS and 18:00 HRS and again from 07:00 HRS to 09:00 HRS.

  • Houseboat exclusively  with all meals which includes welcome drink, snacks, tea, lunch, dinner, breakfast, mineral water etc.

  • Meal plan at houseboats in Kerala will be on APAI basis – starting with lunch, followed by dinner and finally breakfast on the following morning

  • The crew in houseboats comprises one navigator and one cook

  • Houseboat will be A/C for gold and platinum packages.

  • The AC in AC Houseboat will be operational between 9 PM and 6 AM (except platinum packages)

  • The AC in Luxury houseboats will be operational any time when the guests demands (for platinum customers only)

  • Key inclusions like candle light dinner, flower bed decoration; country canoeing will be free for platinum packages.

 

PAYMENT POLCY

In the unlikely event of any change to the above itinerary from our end, we shall make the COMPLETE REFUND (100% of the advance paid) within 48 HOURS of receiving the payment.

After you make the advance payment of 25%, you will be receiving the Booking Confirmation mail (BCM) in your registered email ID, within 24 hours. The balance 75% of the total package value can be paid by any of the following modes,

 

  • By NEFT or RTGS, from your bank account to our account, at least 2 business days prior to the date of arrival

  • By depositing in our bank account, at least 2 business days prior to the date of arrival

 

IMPORTANT: Request you to note that if the final payment is not complete and status is not updated in our system 2 business days prior to the date of arrival, the package booked in your name will be auto canceled without a prior notice. You will receive a separate email from GKLA detailing how to make the final payment.


 

OTHER TERMS

 

  • The transportation provided to the guests are meant for all the transfers, sightseeing and other inclusions offered as part of the package. The duration of the usage may be restricted to 8 AM in the morning till 8 PM in the evening. Any additional usage apart from this duration may be charged additional, at Rs 250/- per hour (not applicable for gold and platinum packages).

  • The gala dinner charges on 24th and 31st Dec or any other dates are not part of our packages. Such payments need to be paid directly at the hotel at the time of check-in. Hotels/resorts/houseboats posses the right to decide the nature and mode of this payment and GKLA doesn't have any role in changing or waiving it.

  • Keeping with the heightened security processes across the destinations, it’s imperative to carry relevant photo ID card during the travel. Foreign nationals need to carry their passport and visa throughout the journey.

  • The prices at which we are selling the services to clients come at special discounted prices and this may vary any time, based on the changes in prices, given by individual hotels. We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred, directly or indirectly, due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

  • We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting - directly or indirectly - from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

  • We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.

  • Any extra bed/breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy. For all the packages rooms will be Non A/C at Munnar and Thekkady as they are cold places

 

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

The cancellation policy of the above itinerary is as follows,

  • Complete refund, after deducting 3% of the total package value, if cancellation occurs 25 days before the date of travel

  • No refund, if the cancellation occurs, within 25 days of the travel date

  • No refund, during the peak season duration - between 15th Nov to 15th Jan.

  • The processing time of refund of a cancelled package will be 20 days from the date of initiating the cancellation.

 

  • For the rescheduling of an itinerary, which is already booked, there will be rescheduling fees of 3% of the total package cost or Rs 800-, whichever is higher. Also, the rescheduling is allowed only 25 days prior to the date of travel. Any rescheduling occurred within 25 days of travel date will be considered as cancellation and rebooking.

  • The check-in and check-out timings of each hotel depends on their policy and GKLA doesn’t possess any role in deciding that

  • All the services for which are not paid by the guests are only suggested options and hence bear no onus on GKLA in their delivery

  • GKLA is not responsible for compensating any loss or additional cost incurred by the guest while taking the tour

  • GKLA is neither responsible, nor liable for any damage, loss or injury caused to any passenger while taking the tour

  • Dollar rates are applicable only to foreign nationals & Indians possessing foreign passports, while the INR package rates will be applicable to Indian nationals

  • All the disputes are subject to Ernakulum jurisdiction only

  • Any claim related to the package must be brought to the notice of the GKLA within a week of booking.
